I Am Thankful Today for:

  • A wonderful Hubby who assembled my new potting table this week.  It definitely will make what I love to do, potting plants, a little easier.

    • Yes, it is very serene. The lanai space — which spans the entire rear of our home, facing a conservation area, surrounded by tall shrubs — is my private oasis. Retirement in Florida, gifted me with warm weather, blooming flowers, and green plants year-round. I AM GRATEFUL. Thank you for your comments.

  1. “Today is Better than Yesterday” and it is better than the past 13 September 11ths. While it is still difficult to listen to the rebroadcasting of the events of September 11, 2001, I have learned that I don’t have to WATCH them. While I still feel the sensation of watching the hundreds of golden light-bodies lifting from the
destruction of the towers, I realize that my Mom & Dad are with them now. While I left my job and career with Cantor Fitzgerald 6 months after the tragedy, I realize that moving back to Madison allowed me to
share 10-11 precious years with my parents. While I left my friends in Chicago and New York, over time
I was fortunate enough to make some new friends who have greatly impacted my life. Today I am thankful for you Yvonne, and hubby, for being my friends and “co-grandma & grandpa”. Love you both 🙂

    • Morning, Cebby. I am sorry that you have to relive this horrific disaster year-after-year — the lost of so many lives and the turmoil that is still there lives of those that survived. Your life was directly impacted by this tragedy, which forced you to make some lifestyle changes. By God’s grace, your life opened up and placed you in a space to care for, nurture and love not only your parents but two beautiful grandchildren who needed a maternal connection. I am grateful to have you as a friend and co-grandma. Love
